Life Goes On: A Poem

Hey, do I deserve it all? 

To shine like a brightening star,

My glow visible from afar,

I don’t think I’m sure.

Hey, do I deserve it all?

Should I let it go with the flow,

Or should I not let myself grow?

I don’t think I’m sure.

Hey, do I deserve it all?

Should I carry my memories as a burden,

Or should I discharge them all?

I don’t think I’m sure.

Hey, do I deserve it all?

Some laughs can make me feel complete,

Yet I’m sometimes broken into parts,

Hence, why I’m not sure.

Hey, do I deserve it all?

I have tomorrow for a reason,

So I must trust my intuition

That tells me that though life is brittle,

It’ll all get better.
